Through Apple TV+, and our commitment to Sports (MLS and MLB), we have doubled down on offering amazing content to our customers, both produced by Apple and our partners. We are looking for an experienced Sports Programming and Video Manager to further grow our Video business in Canada. We are looking for an outstanding team player, data fluent and analytically-minded, with a firm understanding of the sports landscape across North America. The Sports Programming and Video Manager will display a thorough understanding of the market, partner, and content landscapes with experience handling subscription video businesses.

Description

In this role, you will:

1. Lead the initiatives for Sports from on-platform editorial campaigns, handling new product and feature rollouts and supporting the business as it grows and scales.
2. Lead on-platform featuring across the Sports tab, MLS & MLB programming in Canada across English and French storefronts.
3. Build plans and initiatives to drive business growth for video, based on your insights and data analysis. Leverage self-serve data dashboards as well as your own queries to develop hypotheses and initiate tactics to drive growth.
4. Work across a wide range of cross-functional teams to create momentum around an initiative and see it through. Look for areas of opportunity and deliver consumer-first campaigns that grow our video business.
5. Keep a keen and curious eye on the market, the competition, and trends to identify learnings and opportunities for growth.

Minimum Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the movie, TV and/or sports industries.
• Experience with programming video services; identifying key content, working with partners, developing copy and images for promotion.
• Proven success handling subscription video businesses, with experience in leading commercial strategies and planning.
• Experience with analytical tools, ability to synthesize large amounts of data and clearly present actionable business insights to senior leadership.
• Proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid understanding of the video marketplace, content rights, and distribution, with a view of key trends and players.
• Interest and understanding of the North American sports landscape.
• Ability to work cross-functionally to support sports content initiatives – from product, marketing, editorial, operations, and analysis.
• Proactive, results-oriented, and highly adaptable attitude, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strategic approach that is naturally curious and is consistently looking for new ways of delivering a complete viewing solution for viewers.
• Proficiency in French is preferred.
• BA/BSc degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
