Our South Fraser Mentorship and Resource Investigation Team plays a crucial role in both mentoring new social workers and investigating concerns in family care homes and contracted agencies. This newly formed team includes dedicated professionals who bring care, compassion, and collaboration to their work, ensuring strong relationships with foster parents, agency staff, and ministry partners. With a focus on mentorship and resource investigations, the team makes a meaningful impact by supporting staff development and safeguarding the well-being of children and families in the community.
The Role
As a Child Protection Worker – Protocol Investigator, you take the lead in investigating concerns within family care homes and contracted agencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and youth. You collaborate with foster parents, agency staff, and ministry professionals, conducting interviews, facilitating meetings, and guiding the investigation process with clarity and fairness. This role is a unique opportunity to be part of a newly established team dedicated to delivering high-quality services that protect children and support caregivers through a transparent and timely process.

About this Position:
AMENDMENT MARCH 31, 2025: CLOSING DATE EXTENDED TO APRIL 13, 2025.
There is one (1) regular part-time position available (0.6 FTE, 42 hours bi-weekly). Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
