The Team
The Resource, Guardianship, and Out-of-Care team in Prince Rupert is a small, established team that collaborates closely with local foster parents, relatives caring for family members, and staffed resources. The team works in tandem with child safety teams and guardianship teams, including child safety social workers, foster parents, community professionals, and guardianship social workers. This passionate group of individuals is dedicated to advocating for the families and children they serve, ensuring that every child’s well-being and safety are prioritized.
The Role
In this role, you will assess foster parents and out-of-care providers to evaluate their ability to provide safe care for children and youth. You will regularly meet with foster parents, staffed agencies, and care providers to offer support and guidance. Your work will have a significant impact on the safety of youth and the well-being of the families and communities you support.

Human Services fields include: Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Anthropology, Early Childhood Education, Indigenous Studies, Education, Theology or Nursing.

About this Position:
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and/or temporary positions.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required.
