Chinooks Edge School Division (CESD) invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of Speech Language Pathologist. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide effective Speech Language Therapy services to students with severe and complex needs across the school division. The Speech Language Pathologist will be working directly in our schools and also collaboratively with CESD students, families, administration, educational staff, and external agencies. Reporting to the Division Principal of Student Services, the SLP will support and promote the success of those students identified with severe and complex speech and language needs and will be part of a multidisciplinary team across the school division. This is a full-time temporary position beginning August 21, 2025 with guaranteed annual salary, full benefits (including a health & wellness spending account).


The successful candidate will have a Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent and be registered with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA). Experience working with pre-school and school-aged population is required as well as a knowledge of AAC devices and severe speech and language diagnoses. The ability to establish high levels of trust and rapport with families and educational staff is also required. Advanced communication and collaboration skills will be considered an asset.
