Overview:

Speech Associates is hiring for a part or full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position to join our team in providing clinical services to children, youth, and adults requiring Speech Therapy services. In this position, you will have the opportunity to support clients through the use of support personnel by providing virtual and in-person assessment and supervision. This contract-based position offers flexibility and autonomy for Speech-Language Pathologists seeking to personalize their work life and care services.

We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist who is proficient in providing virtual and in-person care to help us meet the support needs of clients in the community. The Speech-Language Pathologist will have previous experience assessing various speech, language, and communication disorders, as well as providing speech therapy to children or adults. The successful candidate will demonstrate skills and knowledge of the various conditions, needs, and areas of support pertaining to these populations.

We offer competitive rates commensurate with experience, and up to $5,000 in supplementary income through clinical education opportunities!

About Us: Our team makes up the largest Speech Therapy network in Ontario! For more than 15 years, Speech Associates has been proudly providing in-home and virtual Speech and ABA therapy to clients of all ages and care needs across the province.

Speech Associates contracts over 100 clinicians including Speech Therapy Assistants, Speech-Language Pathologists, ABA Therapists, and Board-Certified Behavioural Analysts. Our Therapists work via virtual, hybrid, and in-person traveling options, while our Administrative Staff proudly support and facilitate the provision of care.

About the Role:

As a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing clinical assessment and supervision services to clients referred to you based on your experience, preferences, and service delivery options. You will be required to review data and document progress through detailed SOAP notes on our online platform, Alayacare, as well as actively communicate with Speech Therapy Assistants, clients, and Speech Associates service coordinators and staff.

Caseload size and hours are dependent on capacity and demand. Expected caseloads consist of a minimum of 20 CDA supervision clients.

Our clientele includes individuals of all ages, needs, and capabilities. Speech Associates provides care services for children and youth on the autism spectrum, adults requiring post-stroke speech treatment, and any persons seeking professional assessment and/or individualized speech therapy treatments. Areas of service include articulation, early language development, speech delay, motor speech, fluency, social pragmatics, literacy, accent modification, voice, and more!

What We’re Looking For:

Requirements:

  • MSc in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Registration with CASLPO / Eligibility to register with CASLPO
  • 2+ year(s) supervising CDAs and SLP-As
  • 4+ year(s) of previous experience working with clients in a Speech-Language Pathology capacity.
  • Proven organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members, clients and their families.
  • Strong ability to problem solve, work independently, and self-monitor
  • Interest and experience working with the paediatric population, including children on the spectrum
  • A passion for helping others with their communication goals!

Assets:

  • A valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle (Hybrid/In-Person only)
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends to meet client schedules
  • Previous experience in providing play-based therapy
  • Experience with SOAP documentation via Alayacare or similar software.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid/travel-based environment

Rate: $120.00 - $150.00 per hour

We offer increase wages for CDA/SLP-A supervision, as well as opportunities for supplementary income up to $5000 for clinical education and CASLPO Mentorship!
