Reason: To support Power Automate work
Project: Working on multiple (min 2-3) automation projects at a time. Will be a part of the Power Automate team. Responsible for developing solutions/consulting - projects will be in different stages.
Team details: 2 people - will be building the team more.
Who will the candidate be working with on a Daily basis: Working with Senior consultant and PM, Developer.
Job Description:
The Consultant, Business Discovery and Optimization, will lead and support initiatives across Bank’s business units aimed at optimizing business operations, driving efficiency, and delivering shareholder value. This role will also be responsible for developing automation solutions and enabling use cases that align with business objectives and ensure seamless execution.
This is a highly collaborative role with exposure across the bank and will require strong strategic thinking, data-driven decision making and proactive stakeholder management, with a track record of developing automations using Power Automate, Power Apps and other Microsoft 365 apps and a passion for designing the bank of the future. The role will support cross-functional efforts with partners to identify and implement automation solutions to drive increased profitability, productivity and client & employee experience.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Design and develop solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps and other Microsoft 365 apps.
- Assist in identifying Power Automate/PowerApps use cases by collaborating with stakeholders across various teams to uncover unseen gaps, assess optimization opportunities to address operational challenges, and evaluate the impact of proposed changes to the business.
- Highlight potential limitations and risks to leadership to support informed decision-making.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Power Automate, Power Apps and Microsoft 365 applications, ensuring the effective application of their features in automation solutions.
- Identify innovative and creative solutions with new ways of thinking about issues and opportunities, utilizing market trends, data analysis techniques and voice of client/user information.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities and make recommendations to ensure alignment.
- Analyze operational and business data within specific lines of business.
- Partner with internal delivery teams, where applicable, to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve team efficiency and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Solicit feedback formally and informally from applicable stakeholders to continuously improve and enhance solution effectiveness, supporting the realization and impact of the opportunities.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Teams within Enterprise Channels and TI&I. Responsible for collaborating with the appropriate support groups and channels to ensure risks are mitigated and sign offs received.

AUTHORITIES/DECISION RIGHTS
As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Must haves:
- 2+ yrs of previous automation experience (Power automate/Power Apps)
- Proficient in designing and implementing workflows with Power Automate, Power Apps.
- In-depth knowledge of Power automate triggers actions and connectors to effectively integrate and enhance automation solutions.
- Previous BA type skills or similar experience (needs to be able to support from an end to end perspective on working with Business teams)
Nice to have:
- Other automation tools - Alteryx, Excel VBA Macros
- Previous FI experience
- Certifications like Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect, Microsoft Power Platform Solution Consultant, or any Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software
- Experienced in project management and solution enablement

- Strong Communication skills with ability to tailor communication styles and level of details to various background of stakeholders in an impactful way.

Other:
- Primary area of business - contact center/enterprise channel
- Will be working on new initiatives, developing solutions within power automate
- CW should be able to hit the ground running
- CW needs to understand Complex systems - how they integrate
- Candidate must have good communication/presentation skills as this role would require the candidate to talk to different teams with the bank and with stakeholders at different levels. So the ability to communicate/present the thoughts clearly is a must.
- We don’t really need someone with a very technical background (like heavy coding experience) as this role is within the business team and not a tech team - More a tech BA or SA vs PA role.
