The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Systems Maintenance Program Senior Specialist to join our Maintenance Engineering team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with various Airbus teams such as but not limited to the System Design engineering team, the In-Service repair engineering team, the A220 program office team and the Airworthiness, reliability & safety teams.
You will be part of the Maintenance program management team responsible for developing a consistent and cost-effective maintenance program of new system designs or improvements of the latter on the A220 commercial aircraft Programme.
The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
Your role as Systems Maintenance Program Senior Specialist will be to develop, monitor, challenge and improve all the scheduled maintenance requirements of the aircraft systems you will be accountable for and coordinate and technically manage a team of five (5) people. To do so, you will have to primarily apply a system holistic and top-down approach based on reliability centered maintenance methodology (MSG-3) and in-service experience in accordance with the continuous airworthiness regulation.

Your challenges:
Develop, optimize and update the recommended scheduled maintenance tasks based on MSG-3 methodology for the A220 aircraft systems you are accountable for, in order to guarantee an efficient aircraft maintenance program from safety, availability and economic perspectives;
Identify and lead initiatives to optimize the mandatory scheduled maintenance tasks derived from the type certification process (Airworthiness limitations and Extended-range Twin-engine Operations Performance Standards);
Take ownership and assess any A220 system design development or improvement to influence any required potential design modifications and/or incorporation schedule adjustment to target an efficient maintenance program implementation;
Consider all the A220 fleet in-service issues and feedback from our customers to improve the A220 maintenance program and enable an increased operational performance and customer satisfaction;
Act as a technical lead within a System team of five (5) people to jointly determine the scope of work, then define, coordinate and drive the plan to complete all required activities on due time and provide visibility to your management;
Develop, review and approve all scheduled maintenance task procedures under your responsibility through “paper” validation and on-aircraft validation;
Identify, develop and implement, on your own initiative, any processes and standalone projects to make the A220 maintenance program development more effective;
Prepare, present and strongly support all System Maintenance program updates you are accountable for in front of A220 customers (airlines) and Civil aviation Authorities for approval;
Organize, jointly with the structure lead, the yearly technical event gathering people from Airbus, suppliers, airlines and civil aviation authorities.
Your boarding pass:
You hold a master in mechanical, hydraulic or aerospace engineering;
You have a minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience, preferably with Airlines or MRO in system design engineering or system integration or system maintenance engineering on hydraulic and/or pneumatic and/or mechanical systems;
You have expertise on some of the following ATA chapters: 21, 28, 29, 32, 36, 47;
You have good general knowledge in the maintenance engineering concepts and the continuous airworthiness regulation applicable to modern civil aircraft;
You have proven leadership and project management skills;
You are customer focused, a quick learner, adaptive and have excellent presentation skills;
You are proficient in standard Google suite and comfortable with digital solutions;
You have a beginner level in French and an advanced level in English.
This role may involve some travels for business (worldwide).
Travel Required: Occasional travel within Canada, USA & Overseas.
