What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide daily support for Citrix Xendesktop environment with users in various geographical locations
- Implement rigorous monitoring of VDI environment using tools such as Citrix Director and Citrix Command Center
- Develop and implement update and deployment process for WMS/ThinOs image for internal and external terminals
- Establish and operate information and communication management systems (SIG)
- Actively participate in planning and implementation of new projects
- Interface with vendors and internal global teams to ensure environment compliance with standards
- Manage business continuity in relation to disaster recovery
- Maintain high levels of system reliability, availability, and resilience
- Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support for production environments
- Proactively monitor system performance and manage capacity
- Perform system upgrades and mandatory security/OS patches
- Provide 24/7 on-call support based on team rotation
- Conduct thorough morning checks on all critical applications using existing tools or scripts
- Strictly adhere to company policies and procedures regarding change and incident management
- Ensure all systems are deployed in accordance with group standards and best practices
- Incident and problem management: take ownership and work with the team to resolve production-related issues
- Follow standard group security practices in the environment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory of hardware and infrastructure software
- Excellent communication skills in English, as the position requires communication with clients outside of Quebec
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5 to 7 years of experience in managing Citrix Xendesktop/XenApp architecture and components
- Good knowledge of Citrix Xendesktop 7.X architecture and components
- Good knowledge of Citrix Netscaler 10.X technology
- Good knowledge of Microsoft operating system (Win 7, 64bit & Win 10), Office Suite, and Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio, etc.)
- Good knowledge of Windows operating system components and technologies such as Windows registry, PowerShell, etc.
- Good knowledge of Active Directory
- Good knowledge of SSL certificate implementation
- Good understanding of firewall rules implementation and troubleshooting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
