We are looking for an Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team and help shape and mature Unity’s sustainability journey. In this role, you’ll support key environmental sustainability initiatives and contribute to our broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) priorities. Your work will play a key role in measuring, reporting, and improving Unity’s environmental performance, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and facilitating sustainability initiatives that align with Unity’s corporate objectives.

What you'll be doing

  • Support sustainability reporting & compliance by collecting, analyzing, and reporting environmental data for annual ESG disclosures.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental sustainability regulations such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), California SB-219, AB-1305, SEC Climate-Related Disclosure Rules, and standards set by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).
  • Monitor and analyze emerging sustainability regulations and their implications for Unity’s environmental initiatives in partnership with the legal team.
  • Assist in the measurement and management of environmental sustainability targets and metrics, focusing on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
  • Conduct annual GHG emissions measurement and implement strategies for ongoing improvement of emissions data quality.
  • Contribute to internal programs designed to achieve ESG targets and engage employees in sustainability-related activities.
  • Assist in designing and implementing decarbonization strategies to reduce Unity’s carbon footprint and achieve sustainability targets.

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with GHG Protocol, Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), carbon accounting, and climate risk analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB) and carbon accounting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

You might also have

  • Passion and/or familiarity with sustainability management and its best practices.
  • Fast learner and proactive, with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Excel including macros and pivot tables.
  • Experience working in a similar role within a corporate setting.
