Be part of our talented and growing team! We are currently looking for a Specialist, Marketing Automation, to join our team reporting to the Director, Digital Marketing. This is a one-year temporary contract role.

As a Specialist, Marketing Automation, you will be responsible for building and developing customer journeys and marketing automation campaigns for email, in-app, push, and content cards, while optimizing and reporting on performance. You will develop, implement, and deploy complex HTML email builds while ensuring delivery of a flawless UX. The role will strive to achieve growth targets while improving segmentation, personalization, customer attraction, engagement, renewal, and retention. You will also have opportunities to work on the larger, business-wide Enterprise Automation initiative and User Centric Database, while being exposed to several industry-leading tools.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • Provide thought leadership and strategy on new campaign opportunities and optimization techniques to grow the email marketing and SMS program. Evaluate program performance to help develop and update company goals and objectives.
  • Lead the email and SMS marketing program development and execution, including segmentation, testing, deployment, optimization, tracking, and reporting for the marketing department and across all lines of business.
  • Organize and meet with business stakeholders and key internal customers of marketing automation, gathering needs from teams, sizing, and prioritizing opportunities accordingly and implementing data-driven email journeys within Fairstone’s dedicated marketing automation team and email delivery tools.
  • Lead initiatives to increase customer lifetime value by building and executing effective targeting strategies and communication funnels in respective channels.
  • Uncover opportunities to optimize conversion points across dedicated channels leveraging data and results from A/B tests to make decisions.
  • Regularly identify trends and strategies used by other leading brands to glean insights on best practices and new ideas that might be beneficial for Fairstone’s growth.
  • Spearhead marketing automation initiatives including strategy, methodology, infrastructure, optimizations, and growth across the company.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas to enhance processes, speed, and data accuracy.
  • Support retrieving new data points in the MA system and advise on use, configuration, and reporting.
  • Manage customer data, master lists, and segments to ensure the most optimal and relevant email communications are triggered and delivered.
  • Identify, investigate, diagnose, and troubleshoot errors with the appropriate internal and external teams.
  • Create mobile responsive email templates via HTML, utilizing copy provided by the content team.
  • Work with the Sr. Product Manager on creating an email migration strategy plan and tactical roadmap while assisting in managing the project initiative. Comply fully with all privacy, confidentiality, marketing permissions, data security, and other requirements related to the handling, access, and storage of customer data.
  • Ensure a fully compliant email, push, and SMS marketing program, including adhering to all email regulations, best practices, and internal compliance practices in various regulatory regimes (CASL).

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • 3-5+ years of digital marketing experience, including proven experience in marketing automation or email marketing using market-leading platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in a related field.
  • Solid technical skills and expertise in web programming for HTML and CSS optimized for email deployment.
  • Experience in planning and executing user-journey funnels to assist in cross-selling and up-selling customers.
  • Experience in executing plans, meeting deadlines, and operating in an agile/sprint environment, with the ability to manage competing tasks and prioritize accordingly.
  • Solid experience and comfort using a variety of different email marketing platforms (Pinpoint & Mailchimp is a plus).
  • Strong analytical skills to drive business insights.
  • Solid experience in Google Analytics.
  • Keen eye and aptitude for troubleshooting with a solutions-led approach.
  • Understands workflow processes and systems within a marketing/sales cycle.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and work with team members, business users, and technical staff.
  • Ability to stay organized under conditions of multiple tasks and tight deadlines with minimal supervision while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality of deliverables.
  • Financial services industry background is an asset.
