Job description

Overview

Languages: English

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Internship: This position is a paid internship that encourages on-the-job learning and skill development. It is aimed at any candidate who wishes to acquire work experience or explore a career.

Number of participants: Up to 10 participants.

Responsibilities

Tasks:

  1. Develop and monitor emergency security plans
  2. Inspect and select sites
  3. Develop media strategies and public relations activities
  4. Develop sponsorship, partnership or fundraising programs
  5. Determine requirements for hospitality services, signage, multi-media equipment, printing and other technical services, and arrange for and manage contracts for these services
  6. Arrange for production or purchase of promotional products
  7. Assist in budget preparation
  8. Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities and attend to related details
  9. Co-ordinate set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems and other details for special events
  10. Implement registration systems
  11. Implement social programs, food and beverage, transportation, and other services
  12. Set up and monitor, or arrange for the setting up and monitoring of multi-media equipment
  13. Plan and arrange for accommodation and transportation services
  14. Plan for required documentation and for pre- and post-distribution of documentation (itineraries, evaluations etc.)
  15. Research and design special events programs
  16. Manage Event Logistics

Supervision: Working groups.
