About our Client

Our client is an impressive, fast-growing, and family-owned Accounting firm that is based in Dawson Creek. Our Client is currently seeking an impressive and enthusiastic permanent SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER to add value and help the firm grow even more. This is a great opportunity for a CPA looking for an excellent wage / partnership / in a beautiful city and lifestyle that Dawson Creek offers. Relocation assistance will be provided along with travel costs for the final interview in person.

Salary: Ranges from 100-120+K with early partnership opportunity (1-3 years) for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

1. Reporting to the partners, the successful candidate will:
2. Be responsible for managing our technician department of 6 team members.
3. Review compilation and review engagement files in a paperless system.
4. Review personal, corporate, trust and other miscellaneous tax or election returns.
5. Train staff in the function of file preparation or tax preparation.
6. Manage workflow and assignments of work for file technicians.
7. Communicate with clients where required.
8. Provide suggestions for improvement to the firm processes where warranted.

Qualifications:

1. Be a great fit for our current team.
2. Looking for an opportunity to advance to partner within the firm in a relatively short period of time.
3. Have 3 – 5 years of post CPA graduate experience in public practice in a manager role.
4. Be proficient with working with Doc.It, CaseWare, Tax Cycle, Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office.
5. Be comfortable working in a paperless environment utilizing Doc.It.
6. Good communicator both verbally and through various communication platforms.
7. Have the ability to problem solve, time manage, and work independently.
8. Carry themselves in a professional and ethical manner.
