Browns Socialhouse Newport Village is looking for a dynamic Sous Chef who can manage the business of the kitchen and is ready to excel in a challenging work environment. This person must be energized to join our group and must value the importance of creating strong relationships with their team.

Role/Responsibilities:

  1. Conscientiously learn, observe and maintain Browns Socialhouse systems and operations
  2. Serve consistently excellent food to our exact specifications and within our time standards
  3. Manage food, kitchen labour, and other kitchen-related costs
  4. Oversee inventory and ordering, meeting budget targets, and conducting food cost analysis
  5. Manage prep inventory
  6. Maintain immaculately clean kitchens
  7. Ensure food delivery meets timing standards to our guests
  8. Continually train, develop and motivate quality employees
  9. Maintain kitchen labour costs to agreed-upon levels
  10. Ensure high quality of food and presentation
  11. Ensure that proper food safe practices are followed
