The Life of a Sous Chef:

  • Responsible for the daily execution of the Terrace menus as well as the leadership of Terrace kitchen brigade
  • Maintain accountability for self and culinary brigade
  • Abide by and enforce all company policies
  • Abide by and enforce all routines that contribute to our high standards of quality and excellence
  • Order and receive ingredients, as defined by the Terrace Chef
  • Ensure all food products are put away and stored properly at the end of service including proper labeling, rotating and storage of all food ingredients in the coolers, freezers, and dry storage
  • Create daily specials and assist in menu writing, syllabus writing and costing of each menu

What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent technical knowledge of contemporary cooking styles
  • The ability to cost menu items and conduct monthly inventory
  • A proven understanding of and a sincere interest in developing food and wine pairing knowledge
  • “Food Safe” certification (or equivalent) required

Bonus Points:

  • Second language considered an asset
