The Sourcing Manager is responsible for assessing vendors, leading RFI/RFP/RFQs, negotiating product/service costs and contracts, onboarding new suppliers, and supplier relationship management. This role will lead sourcing efforts for the product/service/support categories it’s assigned, which may fluctuate from time to time but include; Contract Manufacturing, Product Packaging, Flower/Biomass, Product Ingredient, Sales, Marketing, R&D, IT, Legal, Finance, Operations, and HR. To be successful in this role, the Sourcing Manager will need to proactively engage with cross-functional stakeholders to successfully source products and services to support the delivery of business objectives. This role will develop the sourcing strategy, lead the assessment of third-party capabilities (production, technology, capacity, and quality), and drive the “make or buy” decision to optimize capital investments and production costs. This role leads supply assurance efforts and delivers financial value to the business through the execution of cost savings and value optimization projects. Cronos is a fast-paced company in a growing industry, so this role must be flexible and ready to support the rapid launch of new products. This position will report to the Director of Procurement and will be remote in Canada, ideally in Ontario.
