About the Team

As a member of our diverse and skilled North America Solution Consultant team, the opportunity exists to communicate and demonstrate the power of Workday's applications to prospects and customers alike. It is this team's job to bring the value of Workday solutions to life and showcase how the world of work can be transformed. Along with working closely with our sales counterparts, this team also sits at the exciting intersection of our Product Management, Consulting Services, Marketing, and Value Management teams, providing exposure to various areas of the business.

About the Role

Workday is looking for a Solution Consultant to join our Canadian Solution Consultant team.

Do you have prior experience demonstrating Human Capital Management solutions, experienced as a HCM practitioner or implementing HCM solutions in the public services industry? Here is your chance to demonstrate the value of next generation SaaS HCM solutions to our prospects and customers.

As an HCM Solution Consultant, you will lead discovery workshops with prospective customers to uncover pain-points to their specific business problems. Provide expert overview & product demonstrations to position the unique solutions to address customer needs. Conduct executive-level presentations and provide trusted advice and guidance as an industry HCM subject matter expert. As part of the extended sales team, you will also assist in responding to RFPs, participate in Workday events such as webinars & customer forums and attend and support industry conferences & trade-shows.

Responsibilities include:

  • Involvement throughout the sales cycle from initial qualification, discovery through tailored product demonstrations, deep dives and executive level presentations. The delivery of relevant technical product presentations, demonstrations, workshops and seminars.
  • To assist in the closure of sales opportunities by demonstrating a complete understanding of and resolving questions regarding our solution, services and training.
  • To contribute to the qualification of prospects, proposed demonstration criteria and sales cycle closure plans.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of human resource domain expertise in Public Sector or not-for-profit industries.
  • 3+ years of business experience with relevant cloud-based HCM applications (e.g. ADP, Dayforce, UKG, Kronos, SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.).
  • Bilingual (French and English) required because this role will support clients/prospective customers in Quebec, Canada, and the US.

Other Qualifications:

  • Must understand business needs & operations in a public services setting; direct experience of core public services industry challenges & opportunities.
  • Experience of valued based selling.
  • A self starter with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Ability to work under pressure and work on multiple projects individually as well as being part of different teams.
  • Professional presentation, communication, and decision-maker influencing skills; expert knowledge of Human Capital Management software.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, AND/OR equivalent work experience.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
