Your Opportunity at SECURE Energy

As our Software QA Analyst you will be responsible for thorough software testing and documentation to support an enhanced user experience for customers.

This role is based out of Calgary, Alberta.

Work Environment

This is a 12-month fixed term contract in an in-office work environment.

A Day in The Life

• Conduct thorough testing of software applications to ensure functionality, usability, and adherence to specifications.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and customer success.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase efficiency and test coverage.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, providing feedback on product quality and testing progress.
• Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies related to software testing.

Skills, Experience, & Qualifications

• Experience testing web applications and mobile applications (iOS, Android).
• Proven experience as a software quality assurance analyst or similar role in software development.
• Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Leapworks, Selenium).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3+ years experience in software quality assurance.
• 1+ year experience in test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Automated Testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Leapworks, or others.
