The Point of Sale (POS) team within Affirm’s Credit Engineering department is responsible for building and maintaining the technology that powers Affirm’s POS lending platform. We collaborate closely with Product, Credit Risk, and Underwriting ML teams to solve complex challenges in managing risk, expanding responsible access to Credit, and building new Credit products. As part of the team, you will focus on designing and implementing new features in the underwriting decisioning service with attention to extensibility, code quality, minimizing latency, and maintaining high availability.
The Credit Engineering POS team is critical to Affirm’s success. Your contributions to the team will directly impact Affirm’s core business through offering personalized, responsible transactional credit solutions to consumers.

Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). In addition, the employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company).
CAN base pay range per year: $125,000 - $175,000
