Software Engineer - Editorial Tools, Reuters Technology: Software Engineer is responsible for creation and support of various editorial tools and services for Reuters technology - from automated data ingestion from internal and external data sources, graphics delivery process to automated content generation and providing processed newsworthy data for other consumers in Reuters technology landscape.
We are seeking an experienced engineer to help architect and deliver various Editorial Tools and services. You will bring hands-on knowledge in building new services and technologies, and will have experience in deploying those technologies for the benefit of the business. Ability to collaborate and work with a team of talented engineers, data scientists, R&D and subject matter experts will be essential.

About You
You're a fit for the role of Software Engineer if your background includes:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent
- 3-5 yrs in Software Development
- Hands on experience in development and testing of Cloud native systems (AWS), and AWS technology stack including AWS Lambda, S3, DynamoDB/Redshift
- NodeJS/Typescript/ReactJS
- Experience partnering with internal business owners
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability and passion to learn new technologies quickly
- Experience in service-oriented architecture, and distributed scalable systems
- Experience working with global teams
- Team player and self-starter
Desired:
- Experience with both front end and back end development
- Experience with relational databases
- DevOps Experience in AWS, Git, Maven, Docker, Shell scripting a big plus
