Social Videographer

The Zoomer Digital Network (ZDN) is a division under ZoomedMedia Limited and is the home of Canada’s leading digital media brands including Daily Hive, Curiocity, blogTO, Dished, Offside, The Peak and MobileSyrup and we’re looking to hire!

Who you are

You are a charismatic go-getter with extensive on-camera and videography experience, as well as an ability to produce vertical video content for TikTok and Instagram. You have a passion for local storytelling with a focus on lifestyle and culture that includes but is not exclusive to: events, food, travel, nightlife and shopping; an ability to edit video content on Adobe Premiere Pro and/or a familiarity with the Adobe suite is also an asset, as well as a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

What you'll do

• Produce and create original vertical video content geared for social video platforms.
• Flex your creative muscles by generating and pitching content ideas, writing scripts, and operate in an organized and efficient manner while scheduling shoots and other pre-production activities.
• Travel on assignment around the city to create content and act as a brand ambassador for ZDN’s brands.
• Keep up to date with the latest social media trends and advise on how they can be applied to our content.
• Collaborate with other team members and participate in regular meetings via Google Meet.
• Operate in a fast paced environment with quick turnarounds and deadlines.

What you have

• Proven experience creating and producing lifestyle and culture video content.
• On-camera experience creating content for TikTok and Instagram.
• Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and succeed in a fast paced environment, as well as work collaboratively with the team to bring ideas to life
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work unconventional hours, evenings and weekends totalling 40-hours per week.
• Familiarity with the Google Suite and basic video equipment
• Familiarity with the Adobe suite is also an asset.
