Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

1. Your main responsibility is to provide individual support to people with special needs in their homes and community.
2. You will assist with daily tasks such as cooking, personal care, and going out with them.
3. Encouraging participation in recreational activities is crucial for their social and life skills development.
4. You will also help clients resolve conflicts and solve problems during difficult situations.
5. During crises or when clients display high-risk behaviors, you will use harm reduction techniques to calm and stabilize the situation.

Qualifications

1. Child & Youth Worker, Social Service Worker Diploma required
2. 2 years' experience with ASD, mental health, or special needs necessary
3. Experience in incident reports, serious occurrences, report taking, and daily logs needed
4. Ability to carry out Safety Plans and Client Care Plans effectively
5. Certification in crisis intervention (CPI)
