The North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre (NSSRC) is holding their annual fundraiser on June 14th, 2025, in West Vancouver, Strides for Strokes. To help promote the event and thank the supporters before and after the event, we are looking for a volunteer to manage our social media platforms (IG, FB, LinkedIn) and our website. Responsibilities include scheduling and publishing content, responding to social inboxes, engaging with the community, collaborating with the team to create a weekly social media content calendar based on the organization's strategy, and creating original content (text, image, video) focusing on event details and recognizing the support from donors and the community.
This volunteer role is perfect for anyone interested in social media strategy and creating content that makes an impact.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Supporting survivors of strokes on the North Shore is gratifying! According to the Government of Canada, stroke is the third leading cause of death and a major cause of acquired adult disability. Life after a stroke changes drastically and very unexpectedly for our members, and helping them achieve a sense of normalcy and reintegrate into their community as soon as possible after the event is essential. The NSSRC aims to ease social isolation and loneliness in our members.
