Position: Social Media & Marketing Assistant

We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and self-motivated Social Media & Marketing Assistant to join our close-knit team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about digital marketing and social media, with a flair for content creation and a keen interest in driving engagement. What You'll Do:

  • Manage, schedule, and publish engaging content across various social media platforms.
  • Assist in creating high-quality content tailored to different channels, including video content like YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and interview-style videos.
  • Track and analyze key social media metrics (engagement, impressions, reach, conversions) to optimize strategies.
  • Stay on top of the latest trends and developments in social media to implement innovative marketing tactics.
  • Create and manage lead generation ads across multiple platforms to support business objectives.
  • Use design tools like Canva to create visually appealing marketing materials, including posters, brochures, and digital content.
  • Collaborate on the development and execution of e-mail marketing campaigns.
  • Support other marketing-related tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or Public Relations program. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Proven ability to write clear, engaging content for various mediums, adapting to different styles and tones.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Confidence in navigating and managing social media platforms like Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn.

Eligibility:

This position is part of the Canada Digital Adoption Program wage subsidy program to hire youth ages 18-30 for digital contract work. It requires the worker to be between 18 and 30 years old, a Canadian citizen, a Permanent Resident or Refugee with a work permit, and NOT to have previously participated in the CDAP program work placement.

  • You must be between the ages of 18 and 30 at the start of employment.
  • You must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, and legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • This position is part of the Canada Digital Adoption Program wage subsidy program, which requires that you have not previously participated in the CDAP program work placement.
