Social Media Content Researcher

Role: Research content based on our 2025 theme, "Hiding in Plain Sight," and local Calgary design-based interests.

Skills Required:

1. Experience in research
2. Interest in social media
3. Experience with Instagram and Google Docs and Drive
4. Ability to work independently
5. We will be using Asana for project management, but no prior experience is required

Time Commitment: 3 hours per week, ideally spread across one to two days. Occasional virtual meetings will be scheduled to support you as you get started and to address any questions you may have.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

1. Content Analysis: This involves examining social media posts across Instagram and LinkedIn to identify what resonates with our audience.
2. Trend Identification: The researcher would keep abreast of current trends in social media, including popular themes, hashtags, and formats that engage users.
3. Competitor Analysis: Evaluating competitors’ social media strategies can provide insights into successful tactics and potential gaps in the market.
4. Content Ideation: Based on research findings, the individual would contribute ideas for new content that aligns with audience interests and brand goals.
5. Provide findings report via Google Docs.
