As the Social Media Account Manager, you will ideate, test, and execute social initiatives across various platforms. You are passionate about the digital world and creating experiences for clients through interactive social media campaigns. In addition, you will work with the team to lead the development of engaging content and help build communities around client brands on social channels.

Responsibilities

  • Leads social management for clients including selection of relevant social channels and tailoring communications and content.
  • Leads social content production from concept through to creative and copy development, working collaboratively with the in-house production team to optimize content for social channels.
  • Leverages best practices for social and digital channels to bring forward new content ideas and test & learn opportunities for clients.
  • Serves as day-to-day client lead, liaising directly with key client contacts and other agency partners, offering ongoing guidance and expertise in social media.
  • Provides support on issues management in social media.
  • Manages junior team and ensures projects are on strategy by providing clear direction.
  • Oversees day-to-day community management, editorial calendar development, and reporting.
  • Understands agency processes and ensures their implementation, including mandatory account service and financial processes.
  • Creates and manages budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on-time and on-budget.
  • Identifies and contributes to organic growth and new business opportunities, participating in new business pitches.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-5 years related social media experience.
  • College or University degree preferably in digital marketing or related fields.
  • Thorough knowledge of the social landscape including creative and copywriting skills.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Excels at time management and is organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful.
  • Can work independently but thrives in a team environment.

Agency Corporate Responsibilities

• Demonstrated understanding and commitment to mission, vision, values, and character.
• Collaboration on agency activities/working groups.
• Participation in training opportunities and memberships to improve skills and increase understanding of the industry.
• Contribution to the ongoing education of the agency’s corporate knowledge of social media and online marketing.
