Skilled Labourer – Ardron Landscapes Inc.

Location: Mountain, ON (30 mins. South of Ottawa)

Position Type: Full-Time Seasonal Pay Range: $24-26/hr

Our innovative landscape design-build firm in Ontario is seeking a dedicated Skilled Labourer to help us craft exceptional outdoor spaces. With a focus on blending hardscaping, natural stone, and vibrant plant life, we create transformative landscapes for our amazing clients.

Position Overview:

As a Skilled Labourer, you’ll work closely with the Crew Leader and Lead Hand to assist a team of three to execute high-quality landscaping projects. This hands-on role involves working with top-of-the-line equipment and materials, ensuring every project meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Crew Leader in executing landscape construction projects.
  • Assist operators of mini excavators, skid steers, and compaction equipment.
  • Install natural and interlocking stone for patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
  • Install low voltage landscape lighting and irrigation under supervision of Crew Leader.
  • Plant shrubs, trees, and perennials, ensuring proper techniques are used.
  • Ensure the job site is safe, organized, and operates efficiently.
  • Learn from crew leaders and online training, fostering teamwork and skill development.
  • Communicate effectively with the Crew Leader, Lead Hand, and other team members to achieve project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in landscape construction.
  • Experience in operating mini excavators, skid steers, and compaction equipment is an asset.
  • Experience in planting and maintaining trees, shrubs, and perennials.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic landscape plans.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and collaboration.
