We are currently seeking a Skilled Labourer with expertise in drywall and general carpentry to join our team of professionals dedicated to providing quality work in the commercial and light industrial construction industries. This is a full-time position located in Edmonton.

Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Skilled Labourer to assist with drywall installation, taping, finishing, and general carpentry work on our commercial construction sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in drywall and carpentry, with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Install and finish drywall according to project specifications
• Perform general carpentry tasks including framing, woodwork, and cabinetry
• Assist in site preparation and demolition
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure work is completed on schedule
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail
• Assist in other construction tasks as needed
• Must be able to work alone and as part of a team

Requirements:

• Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing
• Solid general carpentry skills (framing, trim, rough-in work, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
• Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and techniques for drywall and carpentry work
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Clean police record (necessity)
• Tickets or training is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Safety-conscious and able to follow site safety rules and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in commercial construction projects
• Certifications in construction safety (e.g., WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid)

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Drywall: 1 year (preferred)
• Carpentry: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
