Job Description

• Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site staff to maintain efficient workflow.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations, enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve issues and maintain project specifications.
• Monitor and enforce project schedules, milestones, and deadlines, adjusting plans as needed.
• Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and progress reporting to keep stakeholders informed.
• Address and resolve any on-site challenges, delays, or unforeseen issues proactively.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and material logs.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment, ensuring clear communication between all project teams.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) construction.
• Proven experience managing downtown Toronto projects, particularly high-rise commercial buildings.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and project management best practices.
• Ability to lead and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site staff effectively.
• Experience maintaining project schedules, budgets, and quality standards while addressing on-site challenges.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in construction management software and site documentation tools is an asset.
