About the Position: Reporting to the Assistant Construction Manager and Construction Manager, the Site Superintendent is responsible for overall construction activities within the established design, budget, and scheduling guidelines. This includes planning and scheduling, organizing, directing and controlling activities on the construction site.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise residential construction of single-family homes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Plan, schedule, organize, direct and control construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
Maintain a daily log of construction site operations and identifying any gaps or areas that need to be addressed.
Strategically schedule and supervise the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and subordinate staff.
Control overall safety of all designated sites, ensuring that the requirements of the Occupational Health and safety Act are enforced.
Ensure all employees adhere to company policies, procedures, best practices, and legal obligations.
Establish and maintain a productive working environment for all subordinate employees.
Identify employee competencies and assign duties or arrange working activities to capitalize on leading talent.
Ensure all staff are appropriately trained in their job duties, corporate policies, and applicable regulations.
Conduct employee orientations and safety meetings.
Resolve onsite issues and emergencies.
Keep track of material stock and order.
Order appropriate equipment and arrange regular maintenance.
Attend periodic office meetings with other Site Superintendents to discuss and update the status of all projects.
Implement techniques and strategies that are both efficient and cost-effective.
Ensure overall quality of projects meets Bedrock Homes Quality standard.
Perform site inspection on jobs including sub-contracted work.
Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
Other related construction duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Three or more years of experience in the residential construction industry, including supervisory, management or leadership roles is required.
Understanding of construction equipment use, maintenance and operation required.
Comprehensive understanding of local, provincial and federal construction regulations required.
Intermediate computer competencies, specifically with Microsoft Office and iOS, preferred.
Basic understanding of employment and safety legislation.
A valid class five (5) driver’s license and personal reliable transportation is required.
Criminal Records Check to the company’s satisfaction is required.
A clean drivers abstract is required for the operation of company vehicles on public roadways.
