Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Site Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to manage the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that construction activities are executed according to schedule, budget, and quality standards.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders to maintain smooth project execution. The Site Engineer will ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, addressing challenges as they arise to keep the project on track.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supervise daily construction activities and ensure that all work is completed according to design specifications, safety standards, and within the scheduled timeframe.
  • Coordinate and liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and other construction personnel to ensure smooth execution of construction activities.
  • Monitor the progress of construction activities and provide regular updates to the Site Manager or Project Manager.
  • Ensure all construction work is performed in accordance with the approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor the quality of workmanship and materials used, identifying and resolving any quality issues or non-conformance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all quality control activities, inspections, and tests, ensuring compliance with the project’s quality management plan.
  • Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections, ensuring that safety protocols are followed, and report any unsafe conditions or behaviors.
  • Collaborate with the HSSE team to address safety concerns and ensure all personnel are aware of site safety requirements.
  • Provide technical support to the construction team, offering solutions to on-site challenges, technical issues, and construction-related problems.
  • Assist in resolving any construction-related issues that arise on-site, ensuring that work is completed according to project specifications.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure that all work is executed correctly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including daily reports, material deliveries, work progress, safety reports, and incident logs.
  • Submit daily progress reports to the Site Manager or Project Manager, detailing work completed, any issues encountered, and plans for the following day.
  • Ensure all site documentation is organized and readily available for audits, inspections, or regulatory compliance checks.
  • Oversee the management of construction materials, tools, and equipment on-site, ensuring proper storage, handling, and usage.
  • Monitor labor resources to ensure optimal productivity and address any resource-related issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment required for the site.
  • Ensure that construction work is completed according to the project schedule, making adjustments as necessary to accommodate delays or changes.
  • Work with the Project Manager to update the schedule, tracking progress and ensuring that key milestones are met.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to keep them informed of site activities, progress, and issues.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to resolve site-related concerns and ensure project success.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications or membership in a recognized engineering or construction association (e.g., ACI, PMI) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in site engineering, with a strong background in managing construction activities, preferably on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in working with contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to manage construction processes, ensure quality control, and comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Aconex) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good understanding of design drawings, specifications, and building codes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, contractors, and senior management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Site Safety Supervisor certifications, or other relevant credentials.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and international best practices in construction management.
  • Previous experience on large-scale, complex infrastructure projects (e.g., airports, transportation, commercial buildings).
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and standards specific to Saudi Arabia or the region.
  • Ability to lead and motivate construction teams, ensuring high levels of productivity and collaboration.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and coordinating the efforts of various stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards, with the ability to enforce safety procedures on-site.
  • Experience conducting safety audits, training sessions, and implementing HSE programs.
