The GO Expansion scope includes new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.
Objective
- Coordinate and execute Installation activities, in close cooperation with the Installation Team within the Signaling Installation scope.
- Ensure delivery and quality of the documentation in compliance with signaling strategies.
- Ensure the application of EHS policies, local regulations, and professional standards.
Responsibilities
In compliance with EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards, the Sig Project Installation Manager oversees operational coordination of all project activities related to Installation and Field Operations (FO), including:
- Manage and organize site activities, including site facilities, resource planning, site access, and tools.
- Manage the preparation of target price bundles.
- Deliver and maintain Installation plans, procedures, Work Method Statements (WMS), in compliance with standard processes and product specifications.
- Manage the Work Package of Installation.
- Manage the Installation Works for M&U Signaling equipment and related performance, including monitoring and leading actions on planning, risks, opportunities, best practices, non-conformities, and technical interfaces.
- Manage Sub-contractors, including monitoring of quality and delivery through site visits, coordination meetings, inspections, and assessments.
- Manage the interfaces with Third Parties such as facilities providers, Civil Work partners, etc.
- Coordinate the Installation Engineering team for the scope assigned.
- Ensure application of DIS Installation and FO Process for Installation activities.
- Ensure continuous Installation performance improvement within the Project.
- Contribute to best practices definition and REX within the Product Line.
- Participate in Process / “Metier” improvement workgroup when requested, propose updates/improvements of the Installation and T&C way of working, processes, tools, and RefLib.
- Ensure compliance to EHS (Zero deviation) through site inspections, people assessments, etc.
Performance Measurements
- Work-package management QCDP (quality, cost, delivery, and performance).
- Savings through Risk mitigation and Opportunities management, Cash by sales milestones achievement.
- Quality, EHS, RSA (Railway Safety Agencies): monitoring, anticipation, and reporting on progress and issues.
Education & Experience
- Engineering degree level or equivalent education and experience.
- 10+ years of experience in field activities.
- Certification on Railway Safety preferred.
- Certification on Site EHS management preferred.
- Strong experience in railway site management.
- Cost and planning control experience in site management scope.
- Knowledge of Railway products and services in different market segments (Urban, Mainline, F&M).
- Experience in management by Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives.
- Hands-on experience in Customer relationship in technical topics.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to fulfill the role of interface manager toward both customers and partners.
- Quality-focused, rigorous, team-player.
- Decision-making and problem-solving ability.
- Resilience, with an analytic way of thinking to solve Field complex deviations and issues.
