Position Summary
Repairs heavy machinery and equipment in the shop as directed by the Shop Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Discuss process for requested repairs with supervisor
- Diagnose repairs to be made
- Disassemble components and determine parts and components needed
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components
- Test to ensure safe operation of equipment
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
- Operate overhead cranes to transport or position larger parts as required
- Maintain a clean and safe area for repairs, including tools
- Ensure and enforce compliance with all company, client, and legislated Safety policies and procedures
- Any additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, from time to time.

Education and Experience
- Possession of 421A Heavy Equipment Mechanics License an asset
- 5+ years’ experience an asset
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and/or other specifications to determine work procedures
- Computer proficiency to use databases - Caterpillar
- Valid “G” Driver’s license.
Working Conditions
- Typical hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, Friday, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, overtime only if requested by supervisor
- Significant physical effort. Significant exposure to environmental conditions. Moderate limited movement.

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
