We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Foreman to oversee daily welding operations and ensure high-quality production in our facility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate welding shop operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to project deadlines.
• Oversee a team of welders, fabricators, and technicians, providing leadership, training, and support.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure weld integrity and adherence to client requirements.
• Manage workflow, materials, and equipment to optimize productivity.
• Troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues, implementing solutions to maintain smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records of production, employee performance, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to achieve production goals.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for process optimization.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10+ years in welding and fabrication, with at least 5+ years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and industry standards (CSA, ASME, SMAW, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience in managing teams, enforcing safety standards, and improving operational efficiency.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Red seal welder would be considered an asset.
• Level 1 Welding inspector would also be considered an asset.
