Location: Hybrid (4 days in office) - North York, Ontario

We are seeking a highly-skilled and motivated Sr. Financial Analyst to join our finance team and play a key role in driving accurate financial reporting and strategic financial planning and analysis.

The Sr. Financial Analyst, Finance and FP&A, will be responsible for driving all aspects of financial reporting, analysis, and planning, and will play a key role in a dynamic and committed team, where each individual’s contribution has a direct impact on the success of LHG. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, and based in our North York office, the role will have the following ongoing responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the monthly/quarterly/annual close process by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting to support internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (within and outside of Finance) to address any discrepancies and streamline reporting processes, as well as to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis.
  3. Weekly analysis and insight of revenue trends.
  4. Participate in the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
  5. Drive the continuous improvement of FP&A processes and models to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  6. Prepare ad-hoc reports, analyses and other duties as assigned to support strategic decision-making.
  7. Perform detailed Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  8. Analyze/resolve discrepancies in Balance Sheet accounts by collaborating with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution.

Requirements:

  1. CPA, CA, or other accounting/professional designation, or working towards such designation.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  3. 2+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  4. Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
  5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  6. Strong sense of ownership to meet commitments and deadlines.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  8. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup functions, manipulating large volumes of data).
  9. Experience using Sage/Accpac, Vena, and Power BI would be a strong asset.
