Course Description:
Advancing technology increases our ability to intervene in the course of natural events involving human health and well being. Questions arise as whether we ought to and who will benefit or be harmed. This course considers the far-reaching bioethical implications of emerging bio-technology. Topics to be explored include but are not limited to ethical considerations in emerging reproductive technologies, genetic alteration/genetic enhancement, use of life support technologies, synthetic life, and life extension.

Salary (0.5 FCE):
Sessional Lecturer 1: $9,457.90.
Sessional Lecturer 1 (Long-Term): $9,930.79.
Sessional Lecturer 2: $10,121.77.
Sessional Lecturer 2 (Long-Term): $10,326.62.
Sessional Lecturer 3: $10,362.76.
Sessional Lecturer 3 (Long-Term): $10,570.02.
All inclusive of vacation pay.

Candidates should have a completed Ph.D. (or equivalent) with current scholarly contributions to the field of bioethics and experience in undergraduate teaching.
