Service Writer/Warranty Administrator

Bobcat of the Peace (a division of Rentco Equipment Ltd) is a fast-paced local company that has been servicing Grande Prairie and the Peace Country for 60 years. We are a full-line Bobcat dealership as well as the dealership for Delevon Heavy equipment.

We are currently hiring a full-time Service Writer/Warranty Administrator to join our Service Department.

As the Service Writer/Warranty Administrator, you are responsible for:

1. Greeting customers as they arrive and working with them to diagnose required repairs/services.
2. Answering incoming phone calls and scheduling service appointments.
3. Verifying warranty and service contract coverage and ensuring all correct documentation is in place for submission.
4. Completing customer follow-up calls as directed by the Service Manager.
5. Documenting repairs in the company's computer system and completing paper filing.
6. Processing the customer's payment when the customer comes to pick up their equipment.
7. Creating and completing purchase orders for outside purchases.
8. Assisting with parts/inventory when required.

You have the following skills and experience:

1. Previous administrative experience.
2. Exceptional organization, time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
3. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
4. Intermediate computer skills with experience with the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn internal software programs.
5. Mechanically inclined would be an asset.
