Job - Permanent Full-time - Technician / Technical - maintenance / repair

Description:

The Service Technician is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and repair services for equipment and systems. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective problem solving and communication. The position is covering the GTA area.


Responsibilities:

As a member of the Service Technician Manager’s team, the Service Technician brings expertise by:

  • Analyzing circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service and replace or repair electromechanical devices and systems.
  • Dismantling, inspecting and replacing electromechanical equipment and replacing defective electrical and mechanical parts.
  • Performing mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
  • Performing highly diversified duties to install and maintain sanitizing equipment and plant facility’s equipment supplied by Sani-Marc.
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance per established PM program.
  • Providing value-added after-sales service and performing problem solving.
  • Performing repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and implementation of cleaning chemical systems in Food & Beverage plants.
  • Traveling to the location of our customers.
  • Helping other departments through internal work.
  • Diagnosing problems, determining corrective action and undertaking repair.
  • Managing service calls and examining the customer’s requirements.

Requirements:

To perform well, you must:

  • Be proficient in electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
  • Have experience in maintenance and/or maintaining food service equipment preferred.
  • Have experience in mobile onsite service preferred.
  • Know how to work in a team, demonstrate initiative and be solutions-oriented.
  • Have good communication skills and be customer-oriented.
  • Be incredibly organized and understand processes thoroughly.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • All applicants must take a mechanical/electrical aptitude test during the initial interview.
