HVAC Service Technician – Connaught, Ireland

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team, covering Connaught and surrounding areas. This is a field-based role, providing service, maintenance, and commissioning of Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Gas-Fired Heaters across various commercial and industrial sites, including hospitals, data centres, retail, and manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Commissioning – Ensure newly installed AHUs are calibrated and functioning correctly.
2. Service & Maintenance – Perform routine maintenance on AHUs, including fans, coils, filters, motors, dampers, and controls.
3. Breakdowns & Call-outs – Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and air quality issues efficiently.
4. Technical Support – Provide guidance to clients and internal teams regarding system maintenance and performance improvements.
5. System Upgrades – Identify and recommend system modifications to enhance efficiency and compliance.
6. Safety & Compliance – Ensure all work meets regulatory and safety standards.
7. Documentation & Reporting – Maintain detailed service records and reports.
8. Client Interaction – Engage with commercial clients, offering expert advice on system performance and improvements.
9. Mentorship – Assist in training and mentoring apprentices.

The Person:

We welcome applications from candidates with the following background:

1. Fully qualified Electrician or Refrigeration Engineer (must hold one of these qualifications).
2. HVAC industry experience is desirable.
3. Gas heater experience is an advantage, but training will be provided.
4. Certifications: F-Gas 2078/2079 or Level 6 Electrician.
5. Safe Pass & Manual Handling certification.
6. Full, valid driving licence.

Work Environment:

1. Work will take place in commercial and industrial settings.
2. Must be comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and lifting HVAC tools and parts.

Location: Connaught, Ireland – field-based role with travel in the region.
