Your Opportunity

Our Information Technology team is currently seeking to fill one full-time Tier 1 Service Desk Analyst position whose primary role will be to provide prompt and courteous customer support by responding professionally to requests for IT technical assistance via phone, chat, self-service ticketing tool or in person (where applicable). This is a temporary 1-year position, with potential to extend.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Working in a team environment, you will analyze, resolve and document problems related to Stantec’s IT infrastructure and core applications.
  2. Primarily responsible for logging, triaging and resolving incidents and service requests via phone, chat and self-service portal.
  3. Provide strong customer service when responding to requests.
  4. Work in a dynamic and challenging service desk environment to provide quality support to our internal clients.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  1. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills will be required in addition to well-developed problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  2. The successful candidate should possess the ability to work in a fast paced, multitasking environment.
  3. A strong knowledge of diverse hardware, software and operating systems with an interest in and taking the initiative to keep current with same.
  4. Working knowledge of active directory and ITIL processes will also be key to your success.
  5. Preference will be given to candidates that have related experience with Oracle EBS.
  6. Strong customer service focus.

Education and Experience

  1. Post-secondary education in Information Technology.
  2. Minimum of one to two years of IT experience or equivalent along with a strong customer service focus.
