At PwC, our people in infrastructure focus on designing and implementing robust, secure IT systems that support business operations. They enable the smooth functioning of networks, servers, and data centres to optimise performance and minimise downtime.
Those in cloud operations at PwC will focus on managing and optimising cloud infrastructure and services to enable seamless operations and high availability for clients. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing industry-leading practices for cloud-based systems.
What you’ll create and do
A career in our Cloud Finance practice will provide you with the opportunity to help private companies with a range of business advisory services to resolve their day-to-day business issues and to help them achieve long-term success. Our team provides virtual, outsourced accounting solutions including monthly accounting, preparing monthly reporting packages, providing controller-level review and strategic business advice. You will focus on planning and executing monthly accounting engagements, preparing and reviewing monthly reporting packages and other client deliverables. Tax expertise is not required for this role.
As an Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, to help our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Consistently deliver on multiple commitments which may include:
- Share and collaborate effectively with others;
- Preparing and reviewing complex transactions and reconciliations;
- Reviewing and maintaining balance sheet schedules;
- Building rapport and developing relationships with clients;
- Assisting in addressing client specific requests (for example preparing budgets or forecasts);
- Assisting in providing information to other PwC experts providing services to your clients (for example corporate tax or assurance);
- Identify and make suggestions for improvements when problems and/or opportunities arise;
- Follow risk management and compliance procedures;
- Maintain and develop skills through internal training available;
- Communicate confidently in a clear, concise and articulate manner - verbally and written;
- Build and maintain an internal and external network;
- Seek opportunities to learn about how PwC works as our diverse practices in Canada;
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
Your work will be primarily:
- Acting as a financial analyst equivalent for multiple small and medium-sized businesses (SMB). You will work with the owners/management of each company to help them prepare timely monthly and quarterly financial results.
- Working as a team of business advisors dedicated to resolving the day-to-day business issues of our clients and helping them achieve long-term success;
- Preparing deliverables for financial and accounting for SMB clients for which PwC provides outsourced finance functions;
- Managing interpersonal relations and building the morale of the team;
- Ensuring that all work is completed and documented in accordance with prescribed standards;
- Continuously communicating with the Managers with respect to engagement progress.
What you’ll bring to this role
- Enrolled in or completed post-secondary education and working to obtain or have obtained all Canadian CPA required prerequisite courses;
- An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work;
- A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas;
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills; an ability to think broadly and to ask questions about data, facts, and other information to deliver quality to our clients;
- Share and collaborate effectively with others, building relationships which are genuine and rooted in trust;
- Ability to easily adapt and prioritize, demonstrating project management skills to handle changing priorities;

- You’ll be comfortable travelling to cities across Canada (when deemed safe to do so by applicable public health or regulatory authorities and PwC);
- This role requires that you are legally entitled to work for PwC in Canada for the intended duration of the offer/contract;
- We'd love it even more if you’re bilingual in English and French, however this isn't a requirement.

PwC BC Region Pay Information
The salary for this position is $53,500 - $62,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment.
*Please note that the salary for this position is reflected for our British Columbia region. Given our national recruiting approach, we recruit (and may hire) in other regions and therefore the salary may differ depending on the work location. PwC is committed to competitive compensation and sharing the salary in accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation as they arise.
