SEO Specialists work within a team to design and optimize our clients’ websites to improve their search engine ranking and to increase the volume and quality of their organic traffic. As an SEO Specialist, you will work with a Senior Strategist and our clients to plan and execute on-page and technical SEO strategies and tactics. This position offers a blend of creative problem solving, technical implementation, and content creation, with support from our team of web developers, designers, and strategists.
Key Responsibilities:
- SEO Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings, drive traffic, and increase conversions.
- Keyword Research: Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-value search terms and optimize content accordingly.
- On-Page Optimization: Optimize website content, meta tags, headers, and images for targeted keywords. Ensure content is search-engine friendly and aligned with best practices.
- Technical SEO: Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, such as crawl errors, broken links, and site speed problems. Work with the development team to implement necessary changes.
- Content Creation & Optimization: Collaborate with the content team to create and optimize high-quality, engaging content that attracts and converts target audiences.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor, track, and analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools. Provide regular reports on key metrics and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Competitor Analysis: Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Trend Analysis: Keep abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to ensure strategies are current and effective.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will meet most of the following qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role, with a strong track record of successful SEO campaigns, including corporate and ecommerce websites.
- Skills: Proficient in SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs), HTML/CSS, and content management systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
- Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: SEO certifications from recognized organizations (e.g., Google, Moz) are a plus.
- Conscientious Work Ethic: We’ll teach you how to do awesome things, but it’s up to you to implement those skills and to get everything completed.
