ABOUT THE ROLE
At Fresh Tracks, our websites; CTV, FTC, NLC, CPB, CV and TNC, are the heartbeat of everything we do. We're looking for Senior User Experience / User Interface Designer to support our Marketing team on our websites and customer facing digital assets. The role will focus on usability, consistency, intuitiveness and efficiency. We want the perfect mix of the curious researcher, rapid prototype, and experimental designer to help create a truly exceptional experience for our customers' next big adventure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in brainstorming and discovery sessions to understand our customer needs, help identify problems/opportunities, and have a shared vision of the business objectives.
- Use rapid prototyping techniques to source insights and feedback through a combination of data-driven user research and business needs to validate designs and customer journey.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate design concepts and solutions.
- Collaborate with other designers, UX researchers, developers and the marketing team, to maintain brand standards while producing innovative designs.
- Lead the design process from concept to delivery, ensuring user experience and interface design solutions meet business objectives and user needs.
- Quickly produce development ready designs to support our testing programs and website enhancements.
- Work closely with developers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain the FTC Design System library for the websites.
- Optimize designs for usability, accessibility, and performance across desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
- Support the design team on other digital and graphic assets as required.
- Champion and adhere to the Fresh Tracks brand guidelines.
- Design collateral for various departments within FTC for both internal and external purposes.
- Take ownership of projects and initiatives, effectively managing timelines, resources, and priorities to deliver high-quality results.
- Provide regular updates on project progression, difficulties, delays, and completion, proactively asking for support when needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in user experience design and user interface design.
- Provide guidance to junior designers on design principles, best practices, and tools.
REQUIREMENTS
- A degree in User Experience, Interactive Design, Human Computer Interactions, a related field and/ or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of product design, information architecture or equivalent with hands on experience designing software applications for web and mobile.
- Experience in prototyping tools (Figma, Miro) and techniques with a learn and fail fast mindset.
- A strong problem-solver who will look past the surface of a problem to gain an in-depth understanding of customer needs and identifies challenges/opportunities to deliver solutions that inspire.
- Strong sense of initiative, ownership and accountability. Comfortable providing explanations to any design decision based on best practices, stakeholder research, and usability testing and brand standards.
- Demonstrable, proven interaction design that has shaped meaningful customer experiences.
- Extremely high level of attention to detail to create pixel perfect work.
- Strong time management skills.
- Desire to collaborate within the team and across departments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
