ADGA is currently looking for a Senior Test Manager (Fielding Coordinator) to provide technical and system testing support to the ongoing equipment fielding of LCSS MD capabilities (Land Command Support System Mobile Domain).

Tasks will include:

  • Participate in LCSS MD capabilities testing and assist Defence client to prepare, conduct and oversee technical tests as part of the equipment fielding. Required services include but are not limited to:
    • Participate in the writing of the test plan on various components of the LCSS MD.
    • Review the test procedures and test plan related to LCSS MD.
    • Rehearse the test procedures prior to delivery outside of Directorate.
    • Review the training material and provide training and mentorship to the personnel that will execute the test plan.
    • Coordinate and assist the execution of the test plan.
    • Review the tests reports and assess the results against the system desired behavior.
    • Produce summary reports, including the recommendations based on tests results and trends.
    • Contribute to work groups conducted by Defence SMEs on the identification of root cause issues and contribute to establish a plan to correct the problem.
    • Keep a record of the latest tests documentation, test reports and ensure the latest version is available to the stakeholders through IM tools.
    • Participate in the integration and the test events of LCSS MD on Canadian Army vehicle projects.
    • Contribute to the planning and execution of LCSS MD large field trials.
  • Support LCSS MD equipment fielding. Must assist client to coordinate equipment fielding activities related to LCSS MD capabilities through technical support expertise and testing. Required services include but are not limited to:
    • Provide equipment fielding personnel with technical expertise on LCSS MD system through issue reporting, fix procedure and/or technical bulletin.
    • Advise client on LCSS MD system operation in support of equipment fielding.
    • Advise client on fielding issues and determine alternate plans of action to mitigate equipment, SW, or FW issues.
    • Coordinate fielding activities with the equipment fielding personnel across Canada.
    • Train and mentor the equipment fielding personnel in preparation for major equipment fielding or on demand.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Secret level 2 clearance with PSPC.
  • Proof of College Diploma in Programming, Computer Technology or a Bachelor of Science or engineering, or technical field required to support Land C4ISR (Command, Control, Computers, Communication, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance).
  • Minimum of 60 months experience on Military Command and Control or Military Communication systems.
  • Minimum 72 months experience within the last 96 months in the preparation and drafting of test plans, test procedures and test reports for various levels of testing including: unit integration, regression, system level and user acceptable tests.
  • Must have at least 96 months in each of the following assessment areas:
    • Developing and providing presentations and briefings to Senior management to explain test strategies/plans and analysis of test results.
    • Providing advice, guidance and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of Senior management.
    • Leading teams in the execution of test plans and running test programs.
  • Minimum of 72 months experience within the last 96 months in at least 6 of these assessment criteria listed below:
    • Defining, developing and proposing test plans for various levels of testing which includes unit, integration, regression, system level and user acceptance tests.
    • Organizing and scheduling test efforts.
    • Managing and executing test activities.
    • Drafting and developing test reports.
    • Client Server systems and related technologies.
    • Wired communications systems (Hardware, software and network) including cryptographic devices.
    • Real-time or Distributed systems.

Additional Information

  • Will need to work on-site full time - Monday to Friday. (client requirement)
