Job description

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Technical Program Manager who is passionate about leveraging data-driven insights to drive strategic initiatives and deliver impactful solutions. You should possess both a strong technical background in program management and a keen business acumen that enables you to think strategically across complex systems and organizational boundaries. You will navigate a wide range of challenging scenarios requiring extensive use of data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic planning. The successful candidate will work in lock-step with Engineering teams, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders across the organization to drive the successful execution of high-impact programs that enhance our analytics capabilities and customer experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Spearhead data-driven initiatives that leverage our rich datasets to extract actionable insights, improve customer experiences, and drive business value.
  2. Lead cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize data architecture, pipelines, and advanced analytics solutions.
  3. Collaborate with Data Scientists, BI Engineers, and ML Scientists to implement innovative analytics algorithms for statistical analysis, prediction, clustering, and machine learning.
  4. Partner with Product Managers and Business Analysts to build and verify hypotheses that improve AWS Support business outcomes.
  5. Drive the continuous improvement of reporting and analysis processes, simplifying self-service support for customers through data-driven solutions.
  6. Keep abreast of advances in big data technologies and lead pilots to scale our data architecture to accommodate growing datasets and evolving customer needs.
  7. Translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.

A day in the life

You will:

  1. Develop and improve the current data architecture, data quality, monitoring and data availability.
  2. Collaborate with Data Scientists to implement advanced analytics algorithms that exploit our rich data sets for statistical analysis, prediction, clustering and machine learning.
  3. Partner with BAs across teams to build and verify hypotheses to improve the AWS Support business.
  4. Help continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, simplifying self-service support for customers.
  5. Keep up to date with advances in big data technologies and run pilots to design the data architecture to scale with the increased data sets of customer experience on AWS.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  2. 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
  3. 3+ years of software development experience.
  4. 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
  5. Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
  6. 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
  7. Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.

The base salary for this position ranges from $128,100/year up to $214,000/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
