SENIOR TECHNICAL FUNCTIONAL ANALYST, WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT

The Opportunity

We are in search of a Senior Technical Functional Analyst, Workforce Management (WFM) to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding business processes and technical systems to ensure that software solutions align with organizational goals. You will act as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team, translate business requirements into functional/technical specifications, support the production environment, manage tasks, and lead continuous improvement efforts to meet evolving business needs. To be successful in this role, you have a combination of technical and functional expertise to ensure that all the systems meet the organization's business requirements effectively.

The Role

Reporting directly to the IT Manager, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:

  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand and document their requirements and translating business requirements into Functional / technical specifications;
  • Configuring workforce management software to align with business processes, including scheduling & timekeeping;
  • Leading or participating in projects for the implementation of new Workforce Management features, system upgrades, or new deployments;
  • Troubleshooting and resolving Production issues by coordinating with team, ensuring minimal disruption to operations;
  • Conducting detailed analysis of current processes to identify gaps, opportunities, and enhancements;
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining integrations within IT Enterprise Applications, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across all integrated systems;
  • Developing and maintaining reports in Power BI and related technologies;
  • Developing and managing CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines using DevSecOps practices;
  • Monitoring the system health and optimizing configurations to improve performance, scalability, user experience, and application reliability;
  • Assisting in testing & deploying system releases, upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and interface compatibility with related applications;
  • Assisting in maintaining a prioritized product backlog (Application Release Train) based on business priorities;
  • Designing, developing and maintaining test automation scripts;
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in workforce management;
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to team members and facilitates effective team interaction

What you bring to the team

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or other IT related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT administration, configuration, customization and optimization, with related Enterprise applications and technologies such as Crewing 365, Vessel 365 , Time Collection and/or Oracle E-Business Suite R12
  • Strong understanding of maritime workforce management, crewing and scheduling processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of configuration, customization, and integration for enterprise applications such as Crewing 365, Time Collection and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
  • Extensive knowledge with Microsoft SQL and database management systems like Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.
  • Experience with Power BI reports development or various reporting technologies and tools for specific applications.
  • Experience developing and maintaining test automation scripts, frameworks and pipelines (JMeter, Selenium, TestNG, Junit, Cypress, etc.);
  • Proven experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting complex software/database applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments and acknowledging and assuming responsibility for work, actions and decisions.
  • Ability to convey complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in a manner that is easily understood, authoritative and actionable for the business.

Additional information

The target salary range: $102,200 - $127,700 per annum. The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity.
