SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Senior Technical Assistant reviews applications affecting facilities owned and/or operated by TransGas and issues appropriate permits and legal agreements, ensuring activities affecting the operation company pipelines and facilities are conducted in a consistent and safe manner and in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements to protect the integrity of these facilities. The Senior Technical Assistant provides technical support to internal and external customers regarding permit and agreement requirements and maintains accurate and current departmental records to reflect the addition of new pipelines and facilities and other operating activities.

Pipeline Crossing Agreements and Permits
Assess applications affecting TransGas owned and/or operated facilities within established guidelines, using engineering assistance when required. This includes:
Departmental Databases and Records
Update pipeline license, inquiry and permit information databases and records ensuring information is correct and complete, by:
Technical Support
Provide support to field staff and applicants by providing explanation and clarification of facility permits, crossing agreements and other related drawings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
Coordinate time sensitive pipeline permit applications between Operations and the applicant.
Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports including charts and graphs (e.g. pipeline inquiries, pipeline footage report, etc.).
Provide training and support on department systems, processes and guidelines to others as required.
Provide technical assistance on projects and operations inquiries. This includes:
Assist in the preparation of applications for regulatory agencies such as Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy & Mines, National Energy Board, Manitoba Public Utilities Board, Alberta Energy Utilities Board, Saskatchewan Ministry of Labour, etc.
