Senior Tax Manager (REMOTE)

Role: Remote position across Canada

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with partners and senior staff to develop and implement strategies and tax planning assignments.
2. Conduct technical research and document tax plan recommendations.
3. Manage a portfolio of tax services clients.
4. Review tax returns and other tax-related work prepared by staff.
5. Identify and cultivate new sales and client service opportunities.
6. Oversee engagement financials, including budgets, work in progress, variances, and billing.
7. Mentor, train, and develop staff.
8. Lead practice and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications:

1. CPA designation or equivalent work experience.
2. Completion of the In-Depth Tax Program or equivalent work experience.
3. Experience in public practice accounting.
4. Minimum of two years in a tax manager role; experience with HST is an asset.
5. Proven ability to develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships.
6. Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
7. Project management skills.
8. Entrepreneurial mindset.
9. Business development skills are advantageous.
