This is a remote position but we are only hiring candidates who currently live in Canada.

We specialize in supporting companies that have a big vision. We have expertise in more complicated accounting for industries such as technology and manufacturing and are an excellent learning environment for CPAs and CPA candidates.

As a Tax Specialist, you will work directly with our fabulous clients and be responsible for:

• Filing T1 personal tax and proprietorships and T2 corporate tax returns
• Producing compilations for our T2 clients
• Completing tax planning projects with clients to maximize owner compensation, tax credit programs, and corporate tax
• Supporting the team to plan out and execute tax-related projects throughout the year

Requirements:

• CPA designation (or in progress)
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in public practice
• Minimum 3 years filing T2s and producing compilations
• Enjoy working collaboratively
• Tech-savvy with a kaizen attitude
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

It’s an asset if you have...

• Experience with QuickBooks Online, especially ProTax; Xero; or other Cloud-based solutions
• Experience with inventory/manufacturing, technology, and start-up companies

For our CPA candidates, we do not have a pre-approved program due to the complexity of our roles; however, you would have access to a CPA mentor within the firm, and all previous CPA Candidates were successful in completing the higher level competency requirements for the experience report route with ease.
