Senior Structural Engineer - Custom Homes

Adecco, in partnership with our client, who specialize in high-end custom homes, are currently hiring a full-time Senior Structural Engineer to join our client's team based in Vancouver, BC to lead complex projects across various industries. Salary: $100K- $130K/year (based on experience)
Location: Vancouver, BC (on-site)

Responsibilities:

1. Execute detailed structural designs while collaborating with the principal-in-charge for guidance and mentorship.
2. Manage and oversee small to large custom home projects as both project manager and engineer of record, covering all phases from design to construction.
3. Maintain consistent communication and coordination with design consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
4. Apply your advanced understanding of codes and standards to your design responsibilities, ensuring compliance and quality.
5. Ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of all project deliverables.
6. Foster strong client relationships by promoting the company's core values and commitment to excellence.
7. Develop creative and innovative solutions to overcome project challenges effectively.
8. Serve as a role model and technical mentor, providing guidance and support to engineers and BIM technicians.
9. Collaborate with a passionate and dedicated team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

1. Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
3. 5-7 years of local experience in building design, particularly in high-end custom homes.
4. Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia or eligibility for accreditation within six months of starting the role.
5. Proven ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RFEM, S-Concrete, Sizer, or similar tools.
