Senior Staff Frontend Engineer

Location: Montreal, Quebec

Our Client is looking for a Principal Frontend Engineer to lead the development of
their frontend architecture as they scale their suite of DeFi analytics products.

This is a high-impact, leadership role that goes beyond building clean UIs —
you’ll shape the technical direction of our entire user experience.
This person will be the go-to expert on everything front end. From system design to
design system. From Next.js to shadcn/ui. From small animations to
highly-performant React architecture that scales.
You'll work closely with our product, design, and backend teams to turn
complex on-chain data into intuitive, performant, and delightful interfaces that
users love.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Own the frontend architecture across our platform: component libraries,
   app structure, and performance.
2. Lead the adoption of React, TypeScript, and shadcn/ui best practices
   across all projects.
3. Build and scale our internal UI component system — clean, typed,
   accessible.
4. Mentor engineers and set a standard for high-quality frontend
   engineering.
5. Collaborate with Product and Design to ship polished, production-ready
   features that align with user needs.
6. Interface with backend and smart contract engineers to design
   thoughtful data integrations.

Must Have Skills:

1. 6+ years of experience as a frontend engineer, with 2+ years in a Staff or
   Principal role.
2. Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture.
3. Strong experience using shadcn/ui or similar component libraries (Radix
   UI, Headless UI, etc).
4. A passion for clean design systems and great developer experience
   (DX).
5. Excellent CSS/UX/UI sensibilities. You love turning Figma files into
   pixel-perfect code.
6. Experience working in startup environments with lots of autonomy.
7. Bonus: familiarity with Web3, Ethers.js, Jotai, or any DeFi protocols.

1. Passion for DeFi and Crypto.
2. They are not a coin or project, but are deeply embedded in the DeFi space.
